Just returned from another trip to Thailand for the second round of the Thailand Drift Series.
A recap of our trip to FD Seattle from a mixture of sources.
April 4th-5th was the season opener at Long Beach for Formula Drift 2014.
We were recently checking out The Speedhunters cars and events of the year and spotted this article, Formula D 2013: Hidden Gems. It was a look back on the 2013 Formula D season. We enjoyed reminiscing on the past season and the hard work we put in, particularly with Ryan Tuerck and the Retaks team.
There was also this shot of Dean Kearney by Larry Chen,
We really like these above shots. It is a unique prespective that you don't normally see at events. Especially for us since we are in the pits making sure the car is ready. We can't wait for the next season to begin. We have already been hard at work during the off season.
Check out the latest Maxxis Tires Film, Ryan Tuerck at Irwindale Formula D 2013, by Yaer Productions. This is the season and event recap for Tuerck and the Retaks team. Tuerck sums this season up perfectly and we are all already hard at work for next season.
Checkout the latest from Network A and Ryan Tuerck,
Tuerck takes the Retaks Scion FR-S we built for him on the ultimate drifting road, Maryhill Loops Road in Washington. Enjoy the video.
Check out this video from Formula D Seattle by MPS/HD. The Scion NW Report focuses on the Scion's competing in the Formula Drift series. One of those is the 2013 Scion FR-S we built for Ryan Tuerck Tuerck and the Retaks team.
Jalopnik is one of the automotive blogs that we frequently and it was cool to see a car we built be talked about, although not directly. The people seemed more interested in the road rather than the car. It was still good to see.
This morning we were watching some drifting videos and came across a video by NWFILMS from PARC. The video title PSI @ PARC focuses on James Wiklund and Kyle Pollard.
Our 2nd year as a sponsor of the Sixth annual 'Deuces Wild Poker Run' held at COBB Tuning - Surgeline
The 'Dueces Wild Wild Run' is an organized event where participants, in mostly import and domestic modified vehicles must visit five to checkpoints, drawing a playing card at each one. The object is to have the best poker hand at the end of the run. The event has a time limit, however the participants are not timed—winning is purely a matter of chance.
Ryan Tuerck films a burnout response video after an episode of Tuerck'd is released on Network A. This time, Ryan films the burnout video at the shop. Throughout the video he is in a sandrail, lifted truck, Scion FR-S, and Pollard's missile car.
Checkout episode 4 of Driven 2 Excel, which focuses on Ryan Tuerck and the Retaks Maxxis Air Force Scion FR-S.
Many of you don't know what Zooey Magazine is and neither did we when we first heard about it from Katee Sackhoff, Erick's sister.
Above: Katee and Erick at PSI private grand opening at our current location off of HWY 26.
Katee sent a link to Erick regarding an interview she had recently done with Zooey Magazine. They were interviewing her because her show "Longmire" is premiering its second season in a couple of weeks. In the interview, she talks about how she got started in acting and her career. They also ask her about PSI and if we have built her anything, but sadly we have not. But hopefully in the near future, that is somthing that will change.

This past November, Daily Planet featured Daigo Saito and Design Craft in one of their episodes. They talked about drifting and how it differs from other motorsports. Here is a link to the video, http://watch.discoverychannel.ca/#clip810215.
Watch this video of the Achilles Radial drift team at Formula D round 7. Follow as Daigo Saito goes from second to FD champion.
We are proud to have helped support them and Bridges Racing on their 2012 Formula D effort. We can't wait to see Robbie Nishida go for Daigo's title next year.
This past weekend our photographer went out to Woodburn Dragstrip for the Night of Fire. One of our friends, Wally, brought down his twin-turbo Ford Mustang to compete in the Last Man Standing Outlaw 10.5 competition. There was a large, $10k payout and it attracted a lot of big competition.
Last weekend, July 1st, Pat's Acres Racing Complex held an open drift. We sent down our photographer to cover this local event and get some footage of Kyle Pollard in the Nissan Silvia and another car. Upon first arrival, the amount of people already there was amazing. This was the largest turnout of both drivers and spectators.
Everyone recognizes the 550whp SR powered Silvia and Pollard put on a good show.
This past weekend was the 52nd Rose Cup Races at Portland International Raceway.

This past weekend, we were fortunate to have nice weather. A few of us from PSI made it down to Woodburn Dragstrip for Woodburn Drags 2012 - Round 1. We were there to support one of our own. Ken, our engine builder, machinist, and consultant, competes in the Sport Compact Pro class. He normally drives his twin-turbo Toyota Supra that runs 10s.
However, his car was not ready for Round 1 because he has been busy working on engines for us.
Check out the latest installment of Kyle Pollard's Journey to Drift.
"Kyle finishes his VVL head swap in time but blows his transmition at Nissan Fest 2 weeks Before Formula Drift Long Beach, what will he do?"
Don't forget to check out the rest of the series and support Kyle Pollard on his Journey to Drift.
In case you missed Formula Drift's 2012 season opener on the Streets of Long Beach, the major online media outlets have got you covered. Part of our team made the trip down to Long Beach, but they were busy working on the cars and did not get many photos. Working in the pits, gives you a different perspective on the event. We were searching our favortie online media outlets and found these great articles about the event. We wanted to share them with you.
Check out Episode 4 of Journey to Drift. Loren Haleston and Kyle Pollard are back at it again. Loren continues to follow Kyle and his crew as they prepare for various drift events. This episode is longer than most and covers PARC and the days leading up to Nissan Fest.
Kyle Pollard, our sponsored driver and friend, has started his Journey to Drift. After a slow start in 2011, with only having his car ready for the last few events, Kyle plans to push harder this season. We will be continuing our support for Kyle as he prepares his RHD Nissan Silvia K's for the first round of Formula Drift at Long Beach.
