Leaving Road Atlanta, Palm Beach International Raceway is the next stop for Formula D. Drivers and teams were welcomed by rain when they arrived at the track. With rain coming during competition in Atlanta, everyone was hoping for clear weather for qualifying. The weather held out and Justin Pawlak emerged on top with a qualifying score of 94.7.
Ryan Tuerck qualified 13th with a score of 76.8 in his Retaks Maxxis Tires Air Force Scion FR-S. Jason Oefelein and Brian Hartsock flew out early to get the car ready at Enjuku Racing. They got it ready and Ryan killed it.

With Formula D Palm Beach coming up next weekend, check out this Maxxis Tires Ryan Tuerck Round 2 video.
Some of you might have seen it already, but it is worth another watch. This is the second video that Yaer Productions has produced for Maxxis Tires. It really captures the emotion of the event. We can't wait for this coming weekend. Jason Oefelein and Brian Hartsock are on their way to Enjuku Racing to prepare the car for Palm Beach.
This past Sunday, May 27th, at Woodburn Dragstrip was Import Face-Off. The weather started off bad but evetually cleared up long enough for the races. Out representing the shop was Kyle in his Mitsubishi Evo that Jason had tuned the previous week. After a few changes from last time, including a larger front mount turbo setup, the car is put down 890 whp at 48 pounds of boost.
On his first one, he rolled into the launch but managed a 142 mph trap speed.
Mike Kojima, of MotoIQ, gives us a nerd's eye view on Ryan Tuerck's Formula D Scion FR-S.
In the article, he provides a great overview of the car and the components that make it a competative drift car. Enjoy the article, http://www.motoiq.com/magazine_articles/id/3081/nerds-eye-view-ryan-tuercks-2jz-powered-fr-s.aspx
Many of you don't know what Zooey Magazine is and neither did we when we first heard about it from Katee Sackhoff, Erick's sister.
Above: Katee and Erick at PSI private grand opening at our current location off of HWY 26.
Katee sent a link to Erick regarding an interview she had recently done with Zooey Magazine. They were interviewing her because her show "Longmire" is premiering its second season in a couple of weeks. In the interview, she talks about how she got started in acting and her career. They also ask her about PSI and if we have built her anything, but sadly we have not. But hopefully in the near future, that is somthing that will change.

Summer is here and the Formula D season has started. Last weekend was round 2 at Road Atlanta. They compete on a section of the track. Jason Oefelein and Brian Hartsock are travelling this year to support Ryan Tuerck and the Retaks Scion FR-S we built for him. Ryan made it to the Great 8, but was taken out by broken parts. The car was towed back to the pits after the event. It will be staying out on the East coast for the next two events. We will be flying out to get the car ready for Florida, but we can't wait to have it back on the West Coast for round 5.

While the team was out in Atlanta, GA, there was grassroots drifting going on at our local track in Canby, OR. Here are some photos from Pat's Acres Racing Complex.

Normally, several guys from the team would be at the local event drifting but FD takes priority. Kyle Pollard was getting the SR back into his missile car to prep for Evergreen Drift this coming weekend. If you are up at Evergreen this weekend, go out and support him. PARC normally has an open drift event every month and we will be making it to many more.
Some might remember PARC from the video of Ryan Tuerck testing out his 2JZ Scion FR-S. If you don't, then here is the video
Last weekend was the Oregon Trail Rally. It was a Rally America event and a regional competition. The week prior, we had two Rally America Teams, FY Racing and VanWay Racing, using the shop as a homebase.
